Effects due to bad mental health as an athlete.

Poor mental health affects sports performance by raising stress levels, increasing distraction and disinterest, and decreasing self-success. It situates players in more compromising situational evaluations and leads to misguided plays on the field. It heightens in the long term as fatigue and disinterest—not to mention the potential to quit—because it extends beyond the playing field and infiltrates the player's mind and life off the field.
